Why host in Germany
Germany sits in the middle of Europe’s internet. Frankfurt is home to DE-CIX, one of the largest internet exchanges in the world, and our Düsseldorf data centre is only a short hop away. That makes a German server a safe default when your users are spread across the EU, and the obvious choice when they are in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
German hosting is also a strong selling point on its own: many businesses in the DACH region prefer, or are asked by their own customers, to keep data in Germany.
Data protection
Servers in Germany fall under the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
Frequently asked
What does “300 Mbps guaranteed” mean?
The server has a 1 Gbps port with unmetered traffic, and at least 300 Mbps of that bandwidth is guaranteed to you at all times. In practice that is more than enough for most websites, shops and APIs.
